Families count

National statistics show that one-third of the children who enter into the foster care program and are then reunited with their family, enter back into the program within three years. The goal of this program focusses on getting to the root of these family disruptions. Topics covered in these trainings empowers birth families with the tools needed for permanency and success in parenting and reunification.  

These trainings are specifically for parents of children currently in the foster care system or who face a potential risk of entering it. This 6-week class meets the requirements for state-approved parent education programs and can also fulfill court-mandated parenting class requirements. Families Count provides birth parents with Biblical, Christ-centered parenting help through classroom instruction and 1 on 1 mentoring.
